Ring Wraith Costume

Here is my own take at a Ring Wraith from LOTR for this year's Halloween, all done in less than a month. I decided to design a special harness to be able to house in LEDs for the eyes and a smoke system. The smoke comes out of the eyes and the hands, but I can make it come out of pretty much anywhere in the suit.
The LED eyes are individually addressable W2812B and programmed with Arduino.

The gauntlets are platinum silicone, cast from 3D printed two-part moulds I designed myself. I then chromed the silicone (I have a full course coming out soon) and weathered them using oil paints, silicone and naphtha.

For the hood I designed and printed a custom shell that houses the LED and smoke eyes as well as some mechanisms for attaching different components of the crown. More WIP pics coming soon in another post!

The robe templates I also designed and sewed myself, paying close attention to the original ones from the LOTR trilogy, although I didn't have 50 yards of fabric.

Also, this costume was designed so I could take it out dancing for 4 hours straight. Believe it or not, it worked like a treat: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DB_tzQpoLTI/?igsh=dmRpdGd1YXQ3cWlm (Dancing bachata with my lovely friend and mentor María)

The sword is just a toy my good friend gave me for the shoot. Also thanks to him I have these pictures!

I'll be posting more pictures and videos as I finish editing them!
