This is what Parts I and II were building up to. This is the process that changes everything. The way you look at negative space is going to change forever. Be warned, side effects may include: saving countless hours, spending less money, being able to control the process, making seamless casts whilst still using a core, and the occasional headache once you start to see, but we can take care of that.
In all seriousness, this method saves a lot of issues, but like anything, there is no magical button. Everything has a time and place, so with this workflow I hope to inspire you to try different and new ways. The inverted mold will not work for everything, but it can work for a lot of things. That’s why we have so many kinds of molds. But my story has always been about discovering things and putting them out there.
For a bit over 3 hours, you will join me on an adventure and I will teach you:
· What an Inverted Mold is, and all its advantages over conventional multiple part molds.
· How to approach it for flexible casts in silicone or urethane rubber.
· How to use Zbrush to create inverted molds for sci-fi robot-like arms.
· How to use Zbrush to create 3D printable jacket molds in the fastest and most efficient way.
· How to cast a flexible sleeve and glove using inverted molds.
· How to create lining and muscle pads for flexible castings.
· How to chrome platinum silicone. Also taught in Part I of Silicone Sorcery.
· How to do generic metal weathering on platinum silicone. Also taught in Part I of Silicone Sorcery.
· How to think outside of the box. The sky is the limit!
I will not delve into detail on how to 3D model in Zbrush, because this can’t be 10 hours long. I will always answer your questions on Instagram and link you to different Zbrush tutorials, like the YouTube Channels I recommend in Silicone Sorcery I. But if you need clarification with anything, I can always add footage to this course over time.
I hope you enjoy this, because this is probably one of my most valuable pieces of knowledge.
What are we waiting for?
